Currently watching the first episode and holy shit, they aren't throwing any punches with this show. It is truly terrifying. HBO just got another hit under in their library
I plan on checking it out, I found the trailer really grabbed me.
It's a truly haunting show, it's only the first episode but i wholly recommend it.
It was great
Saw it. Jesus, that was haunting.
"Why can i taste metal?" That line really hit me for some reason.
I loved it, can't wait to see the other episodes.
You're delusional, go to infirmary
God, that shot of the two guys looking straight into what’s left of the core. Shit
I was half wondering if that this series was a co developed thing between HBO and Sky since all the actors in the first episode sounded British (I didn't expect accent accuracy though so I wasn't surprised). There's some very cinematic and haunting shots in the first episode, I'm definitely watching the rest, and it's pretty hard for me to get pulled into a new series that comes out.

Loved it. My only minor complaint is that there was quite a lot of open bleeding for dramatic effect. Most of the technicians were able to operate in and around the reactor for so long because the effects of radiation are rather ambiguous until it's too late. That said they got almost all of the character beats exactly right and filled in all the blanks fairly judiciously. Also that phone call was the real deal. There's a clip of it on youtube. Also I know the reactor and its lethality is the big draw but I'm definitely looking forward to the whistleblower drama dimension of the show and I hope they don't reduce the Soviet milieu to a sort of caricature as is the American tendency. That speech in the bunker from the leader of the local soviet was a bit over the top.

I liked it. Cant even imagine what a disaster of a night shift that was when it happened....

That was a great first episode. Wish the rest was out so I could keep watching.
The atmosphere was perfect throughout, so unsettling seeing people walking around vomiting blood and succumbed to the floor. Though the best is certainly how soviet directorate only cares how to save their own face and don't care for the people at all. And all the small details in environment and exchanges hnnngh.
Old Maester Lewin Unnamed Comrade talking about GLORIOUS SOVIET SOCIALISM and Lenin being proud of that guy who was concerned for the people and then immediately saying the people basically can't handle state matters and they should cut the lines was great.
That was some pretty obvious propaganda to me
I love how they had the cliché "old wise man enters the discussion and imparts truth" but he was totally fucking wrong and gave the worst advice ever but was still hailed as a hero
Absolutely spectacular, cannot wait for the rest. I especially can't wait to see if they cover the divers going into the coolant.
This makes me to want to make a game set in moments after nuclear powerplant disaster.
The trailers have shown glimpses of that happening
That scene where he goes down the hall and the right wall has been blown outwards was such a good visual
One of my favorites were right at the beginning where he's walking between the buildings and tries his hardest to [sp]ignore the smouldering graphite fragments scattered on the ground outside[/sp]

Really enjoyed the second episode. That final sequence with the geiger-counter and the broken flashlights was absolutely terrifying. Can't even imagine how terrified those three men must've been.
me that final five minutes https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/294279678640783364/577682146551005255/1557800246361.png
