This bit near the bottom of the site heavily indicates this parody was set up by somebody on the left: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/242634/349eca8a-5d8e-4f27-baa6-d5dc93fec089/image.png
Good god, somehow the establishment Dems managed to find a worse candidate than Hilary. They deserve to lose the election if they get what they want.
Can the establishment Dems please just bite the bullet and try not to rig the primaries?
Joe Biden for President 2020 For anyone interested
this stuff is why i reckon he'll underperform massively once the primaries actually start. it's one thing to be a blue dog, but in the likely event someone brings up his voting record and makes it stick he'll never be accepted as the establishment neo-liberal candidate people supposedly want. he could still win as after that i guess but polls giving him like a +24 lead can frankly fuck right off the edge of my dick
According to the article, the person who owns the parody site posts on The_Donald, so no, they're not on the left.
Even so, why should it matter if what has been stated is true? Is there even a single soul on FP who wants Joe as president?
No, there isn't. I'm just replying to I was Boobies there
I reckon the best he can hope for is a very narrow victory over Bernie like it was with Hillary, but my money overall is still on Bernie clinching it. Not sure if you know this, but that poll literally sampled ZERO people under 45, meaning Bernie was artificially handicapped and Biden got a boost. It's honestly a totally worthless poll for anything. Biden is still ahead in polls that actually use samples correctly, but not by much and not in all of them.
Is there a single soul anywhere? I'm not sure I've ever met anyone that would actually be enthusiastic about Biden running for president. Can only imagine it is the corporate establishment that actually wants him
Shit like this isn't meant to be informative or eye-opening. There are no alternatives presented, no direction or call to action. The only thing this is meant to accomplish is fracturing the voter base, leaving the highly unified GOP to win another four years while the Democratic party is still trying to pick up the pieces. Don't get me wrong. I don't like Biden. He's a flip-floppy creep and too far to the right for my tastes, but this is still a blatant attempt to disillusion potential voters so that another party can benefit from it.
Bullshit, Biden is a dumpster fire and a website making that super apparent is GOOD for the left. We're better off cutting ties with these people and unifying towards a legitimately leftist candidate, not right-wing sympathizers.
4 more years of Trump are looking very likely.
yeah because that just worked so well in 2016 right?
I agree that we need to focus on electing truly progressive candidates, and not middling centrist ones like Biden. What I'm saying is that we shouldn't confuse right wing attack campaigns made to divide the voter base and sow discord with genuine, informative resources and campaign information. This isn't the latter.
Um, what? That's not what happened in 2016 at all. Unless you're somehow going to argue that Clinton was a leftist.
I fully expect Trump to win 2020 and completely get away with all his crimes. Honestly, the question I'm asking now: will Trump still be president after his second term?
Someone on The_Donald claims ownership of it http://reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/bhahr3/i_own_joe_bidens_website/
The astonishing thing is that I don't think a single gaffe that Joe Biden has made is worse than Trump's
And then Bernie will lose again in the primary and all the progressives will refuse to vote in the general election out of spite because they just hate Biden so much, giving us another four years of Trump. Good job. By all means, promote leftist candidates and values in the primary, but slinging mud on people who ought to be on our side (or at least not Trump's) is a great way to burn bridges and keep every lobster stuck down in the bucket when it comes time for the general election. I'm still convinced that the number of voters Hillary lost by in those three critical states is less than the amount of progressives who refused to vote for her because they were still having a hissy-fit over the primary. We totally made apparent what a dumpster fire Hillary was, and look where it landed us once she was our only option to stop Trump, whether anyone liked it or not. Her waspish smarminess and out-of-touch attitude would'have been miles better than the concentration camps, warmongering, blatant flouting of the law, fear tactics, government lockdown, and decades lost in progress we're stuck with now, but all the progressives just hated Hillary so much. Oh wait, that sounds familiar. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this in-fighting is nothing but childish and only serves to hinder our overall goal in the long run. Anyone who's about to pull the same stunt on Biden that they pulled in 2016 - as I can sense many are gearing up to do - needs to grow up. Lift up Bernie rather than putting down Biden, and if you didn't manage to lift Bernie high enough, pick the next best option instead of acting like a spoiled brat and ruining it for the rest of us.
your president ladies and gents https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/112373/df088f9b-bac7-4cb0-81e0-5078a590b5e7/fjjzg4qz7baz.jpg
The DNC need Bernie if they want a good chance at matching a demagogue like Trumpm Don't get me wrong, if it comes to Trump v. Biden the answer is self-explanatory but the option shouldn't be the lesser evil. If Bernie has a shot he should get it, no questions asked. I know it's a meme but still, the star wars analogy fits https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/190/408/5a8.png Sanders has the oratory skill, energy and principles needed to take Trump apart in the debates.
Is this guy even a democrat at this point?
If this keeps up its likely we’ll see Buttigieg vs Trump. At least my “Hope for the best, expect the worst” philosophy will have additional support.
its' a common campaign tactic to try to spoiler votes. You find things that people in the opposition party like a lot and show how a candidate is against them, splitting the vote.
They don't even have to. Plenty of primaries have chosen candidates that lost the popular vote, even if Bernie 'wins' the delegates are still going to choose Biden.
The only times this happened were in 1972 and 2008 and both times populist outsiders won the nominations against establishment opponents
Well, the establishment didn't fear Obama because he wasn't much unlike Hillary.
I don't know much about Nixon, but what makes you think Obama was a populist outsider? What an odd thing to say.
