https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/national/wp/2019/05/07/georgia-governor-signs-heartbeat-bill-giving-the-state-one-of-the-most-restrictive-abortion-laws-in-the-nation/ Kemp said he is upholding his promise to enact the “toughest abortion bill in the country.” “Georgia is a state that values life,” Kemp said before putting his signature to the Life Act. “We stand up for those who are unable to speak for themselves.” The bill has been called draconian by Democrats, medical lobbies and civil rights organizations, along with women’s rights leaders and celebrities, all of whom have opposed the measure and protested it for months. “The Handmaid Coalition of Georgia” marched to the statehouse to protest the legislation, chanting “shame” and “dissent” while clad in the red cloaks and white bonnets of characters in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” a book and TV series that depicts a dystopian future where women are enslaved to rear children. The protesters have been an almost daily presence, along with heavy security. In a statement responding to Kemp’s signing the ban, Talcott Camp, deputy director of the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, said: “Governor Kemp put politics before the health and well-being of Georgia women and their families. In a state with a devastatingly high maternal mortality rate, particularly for Black women, politicians should be focused on improving health care access for all women, not banning abortion before most women know they’re pregnant. This bill is part of an orchestrated national agenda to push abortion care out of reach and we won’t stand for it. Governor Kemp, we will see you in court.”
“Georgia is a state that values life,” Kemp said before putting his signature to the Life Act. “We stand up for those who are unable to speak for themselves." What about the people who can speak for themselves tho
Fuck 'em
I hate limp dick Kemp so much. He's your typical backwoods moron who got into office.
Good ol' Brian "My position as secretary of state of Georgia while I run for governor is definitely not an egregious conflict of interest" Kemp.
HEY Roberts! What's this about there not being Obama judges and Trump judges? seems like your side certainly believes there are.
Shouldn't have gotten pregnant lmao
Nice job, this'll just endanger more lives by encouraging women to self-induce miscarriages so they can abort or, worse yet, get a back alley abortion. These lawmakers deserve a bullet for each person their moronic policy impacts.
Kemp prefers to revoke their right to vote so he can declare himself governor again.
why do we even have a supreme court if it's always ignored when it works against right wingers and preached like gospel when it benefits them imagine not rioting when you have no court system anymore
I live in this state, and I still wouldn't bat an eye if the whole thing just sank into the ocean one day, absolute trash hole state
"Good job men, we're saving babies tonight!" "But even putting aside whether fetuses have souls, what about the many complication reasons fo-" "SAVING BABIES!"
you can't be a wage slave without being forced to take care of a child
Actually Georgia's excludes instances of rape and incest: Like some other versions, Georgia’s law includes exceptions for incest, rape and situations of medical futility or where the health of the mother is at stake.  However, Alabama living up to its legacy, has not: The ban passed by Alabama’s House last week intentionally excludes exceptions for victims of rape or incest to enhance its chances of getting to the Supreme Court, said Alabama state Rep. Terri Collins (R).
time to see if the WGA stands behind their threat https://twitter.com/WGAEast/status/1110679093874434048
So if I put a stethoscope up to Kemps chest, and don't hear a heartbeat (I wouldn't expect him to have one, or a functioning brain or moral compass for that matter), does that mean we can perform a 225th trimester abortion? (Brian Kemp was "born" November 2, 1963, This is 666 months (coincidence?) ago, today. Assuming Kemp wasn't a stillborn (up for debate) and his birth was normal (3 trimesters in the womb) we should be within the confines of this particular law.)
“Georgia is a state that values life*,” Kemp said *Until you're out of the womb and then you're on you own, sucker!
So accidents just don't happen in your surreal reality then? Rape-victims also aren't a thing, I take it?
I'm pretty sure their post is a satirical shitpost like mine is. Just a little less obvious since there's people who have legitimately said what he did.
Florida will go before us. That would give shitheels like Kemp a heads up to book it to dryer ground. I'd rather a mysterious flashfire catch and torch the place.
Would you settle for a fire tornado filled with alligators
I live in Atlanta and this ho honestly depresses me. I also heard that they want to crack down on birth control, which would give a new meaning of the word Draconian.
Hey, the alligators didn't do anything to deserve that. Besides, if we can get it to grab Kemp and his ilk we'll have plenty of lizard people to make up for them.
God works in mysterious ways~~ Satire is dead
