Decided to make a general thread for this so I don't have to post a new one for every map. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1735156195 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxxMob9_MTE After working on this for over a week I finally released my MK64 Bowser's Castle GMod remake. It features Sounds, textures and models ripped from the original game Fire effects and thwomps are all timed the same as they were in the original A race control tower that not only is the spawn area but lets people that don't want to race control various options of the race, including: > Starting the race > Playing the 2nd and final lap sounds > Control the volume of the background music (full, half, off) > End the race An animated Lakitu who does the race countdown And a pit stop that slowly heals any player driving through it in case you took damage on a lap Would love to hear some feedback from you guys if you choose to try it and if there are any issues that got through my play testing session. ;)
Nice! I´ll take it for a spin and see if I can find something that needs fixing.
Got another one for you. While I said on the workshop page that I wouldn't do any requests I figured I might as well re-create the map people requested the most despite my disclaimer. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1750630718 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gQGA7vhnEg Features more or less the same things as my Bowser Castle re-creation. This one was a b- due to the size as I would get compiling errors due to reaching the brush limit every now and then by just looking at it the wrong way. Got it working somehow in the end. If you guys wanna try it please report how the performance on this map is when you have an older system as this one is actually massive. I didn't want to use an env_fog_controller at first at it looked quite nice when you could see everything until I noticed that my FPS went from 300 to about 160. With the entity it went back up to 300 again and it's no biggie as it now looks even more faithful as it did back on the N64. https://i.imgur.com/4DJAOF7.png
