It's a catch-22 to an extent but I'd rather see something get done than have the masses kneejerk-balk at mild inconvenience yet again and thrust power into the hands of people who would fuck their mothers if it added an extra zero to their bank account.

I don't think a lot of people realize the amount of shit we are in. The longer we do nothing the more drastic the measures we'll have to make. People are never going to be ready to commit.
Not dealing with climate change is going to create one of the greatest migrant crisis that's ever happened when coastlines around the planet gets submerged and more locations are plagued by extreme weather.

Being more worried about political bullshittery than our own fucking planet is what's got us in this mess in the first place.
