3 days old but thought I'd throw it up, in case folks are too busy playing Mordhau

ANIMATION IMPROVEMENTS
We are trying to avoid investing even more time into it, but Exanima's character physics system is a huge beast in need of constant upgrades and maintenance. In this update we introduce new creatures whose proportions and movements proved very problematic. We've had to make extensive changes to some core aspects of character motion, resulting in some great general improvements to how characters move. We didn't quite stop there either.
Characters are much better at controlling their virtual muscles, resulting in smoother, faster and more precise movement. This corrects a lot of wobbly and floppy looking motion. We've also made legs move more precisely and perform less jittery corrective movements. Characters pause less between steps and turns, resulting in more fluid and responsive movement in combat. Head movement was also improved, becoming much more stable and tracking more accurately. The dynamic balancer and various other things have also been improved.
But also maps!

And..
Mundane items (1000+)
Weapon balancing (seen in the vid above)
Improved AI behavior
NPC initiated dialog and reply mechanic
Graphical improvements

Worth a replay I thinks..
Really glad to see this is still being worked on. It's been a while but I was kind of afraid it was abandoned for whatever reason. Improvements look really great, the physics on this are still some of the best I've seen. It is insane to think as well that Exanima is just a small component of Sui Generis, whenever they'll be able to also complete that.
It's a shame the updates to this are so infrequent because it really is amazing.
Oh damn, I forgot about this game. I thought the devs abandoned it ages ago but it looks like it still gets... yearly updates
this game is still getting updates? oh wow
Slowly but surely
Too bad Knight Man is fighting an immortal.
The Arena mode is sooo fun but it's so fucking grindy right now
What no half swording? PFTTT. /s
Really though.. I'm really rooting for this game. Mechanically it's already got me diamond hard and if they flesh out the rest of the "story"/"rpg" content it will be a masterpiece.
I think their "insiders" are able to test updates more frequently.
There's nothing more satisfying than full force smashing some cunts head in with a sledgehammer in this game.
Right?!
Overhead mace strikes that land right on top of your enemies noggin are also highly satisfactory!
Finally, isn't this the first update in like years?
Last update was in July 18 so close to, also amazing how much more fluid they have managed to make the physics engine function now.
Especially the walking is so much less wobbly, great improvement!
Every now and then i go in practice mode and even though it's the same fights it's just so fun I've been doing it for years
Anyone checked the Sewer level yet? I'm about to go but I'm doubting if I need to go to level 6 first for goodies
