Recently discovered these guys, Protest the Hero, and holy shit their latest sound is everything I've ever wanted from music. Amazing guitar, amazing storytelling and instrumentation, creative lyrics, and an amazing voice. I listened to their earlier albums and they sounded very generic metal-y screamo, but their two latest albums (Volition and Pacific Myth) are some of the best listening I've ever had.

I shit on spotify's discover weekly because it always gives me either super generic rock I liked when I was 15 or really shitty generic indie metal bands but they knocked it out of the park by giving me Protest.

I'd tried to play it on W7 and it....almost works. I can get it to run if I hit play directly after installing it but I only get one session out of it. If, for any reason, it closes, it must be totally reinstalled to run again. And physics rates are tied to graphics rates, so the game goes into Benny Hill mode if your FPS is significantly past the 30fps or so that was standard for games of its type back in the late 1990s.
