An Instagram post by Triple M on Thursday morning showed the new currency under a magnifying glass, revealing the typo in microscopic text on the note just above Edith Cowan's shoulder. In the text, which is taken from Ms Cowan's maiden speech to the WA Parliament in 1921, the word "responsibility" is missing the third "i" and says "responsibilty". The word appears three times in the excerpt, all of which are misspelled on the note in the same manner. Edith Cowan was a social reformer who was the first Australian woman ever to serve as a Member of Parliament. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-05-09/new-$50-note-contains-typo-in-word-responsibility-rba-confirms/11096528 The text is almost microscopic. I hope they find whoever's responsble
Ironically, this is probably one of the best anti-counterfeiting measures they could have hoped for.
special edition 50$ bill
And throw him into a prison colony
Not really. It took months for anyone to realise this happened, and the RBA have already confirmed they will fix the typos for the next round of printing. Besides, the clear windows and holographic flying bird thing are substantially better tactics for anti-counterfeiting.
It wasn't a serious comment. I'm aware there are far more effective anti-counterfeiting methods available.
Such as printing Donut Steel in comic sans right next to the currency value.

Excellent idea. Make counterfeit money based on giving the recipient a mental stupor instead of having them be convincing.
Not saying it isn't a typo, but I know of a security feature that's almost identical in the microprint of a secure document.
