What an awesome lady. That was a really fun video.
I'm somewhat surprised at how open she is about all of this, but I guess it makes sense that part of the role of being an ex Cia chief is normalizing the work you did.
I'd imagine there's a lot she's not exactly allowed to give away, though.
Watching spy flicks with her must be fun
Spying is such a fascinating thing. Would be crazy knowing a fraction of the things the CIA knows
Honestly makes sense that there are a lot of sex stories in espionage. There's a reason why "pillow talk" is a thing.
That part about the three fingers really fascinated me. It makes me wonder what other minute cultural differences between Europe and America.
In one of the videos they discussed differences such as Europeans holding the cigarette between their fingers and Americans holding it in a pinch-like finger grip.
One of the other differences included Americans usually standing in a tilted leaning posture with weight shifted on one leg while Europeans usually tend to stand with two legs evenly.
yeah I thought what a bunch of nonsense that was
I've never seen any europeans holding a cigarette between the thumb and index finger like she claims is the norm, it's straight up inconvenient and looks retarded.
Not sure about standing, but I at least never stand straight like a pole, it looks and feels dumb.
Also apparently americans constantly drop the knife while eating? If you do this you need jesus exorcism, I can't imagine anyone seriously doing this for any reason.
I think that it was more related to Britain than to other parts of EU. The information could also be outdated. Lastly the information could be deliberately incorrect while still teaching you what to look for.
That's kind of funny, because as an European I always stand tilted, with most of my weight on one foot because it's way more comfortable that way. Humans weren't built for standing up straight and even for long periods of time. Exceptions of course include official functions etc. where you want to look your best and pay attention to things like posture and where you put your hands.
Also on cigarettes: I'd like to know where that came from. I don't generally smoke, but I've done it on a few occasions while out drinking and I've brought it up with multiple people and everyone is really confused where it came from. I don't think either grip is really better and so I basically just switched at random. The finger counting thing in the video I think might be true but for me holding up three fingers rather than two + thumb feels more natural so that's the way I do it.
Basically I'd make the worst spy apparently. Can't even blend in in Europe smh
didn't she say the opposite?
