A good video on the subject. The title alone seems kinda worrying, but I figured Kurzgesagt wouldn't do science dirty. In fact, I wondered if the video would just be "How high is the risk?" "Not very," and over.

Maybe the main unknown risk of being vaccinated is posting convincing videos that there is no risk to getting vaccinated.

My respect for Kurzgesagt has grown massively since they made a habit of regularly citing their sources.

Yes, there is always the risk of side effects no matter what medical treatment or measure you're undergoing. But the important thing to hammer home is that the risk of doing nothing in fear of a remote risk of a side effect is often hundreds (if not many thousands) of times worse.

We regularly take real, tangible risk of serious bodily harm (or death) in our day to day lives that is order of magnitudes greater than the comparatively statistically insignificant risk of the same amount of harm posed by administering vaccinations.

The million dollar question is: how can we reach out and impact people who choose to remain willfully ignorant?

IMO the most important thing is not to alienate the ignorant. I've had dozens of arguments with anti-vaxxers and I know how impossible it seems to convince them, but treating them like shit will not only make the problem worse, but it will also bolster their ignorance.
