I have seen two different cases where a base owner reports that his metal/armored walls/foundations has been downgraded from metal/armored to wood while being raided. In both raids seperated by around two months time there has been several defenders online explaining that the floors changed beneath them. As a guy who have been involved with Rust communities for a long time now, I know people can make up stories or exaggerate situations to high proportions, but this time we can't find out exactly what happened.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I have a hunch it has something to do with decay. It could be that the TC's were hit first during the raid and the TC was looted then the decay sets in and poof, you have twig then nothing. It is very possible

It was wood, not twig. TC according to them was there when base got downgraded. I personally think they used the undermap exploit to raid the foundations from under untill they found the TC, but I have no idea why anyone would remake the foundations to wood
Well, the TC "may" have been there but it was looted. Was there a code lock on it?
Are you on a community / modded server? Would not be surprised if the admins trolled you or something

Floors don't degrade from metal/hqm to wood when you loot the tc. Tc was eventually blown away
This is true, if you are not looking at it /grins Who is to say that the raided weren't trying to do something else than look at the floor.
Depending on the setting on decay, if the TC was looted, destroyed or removed it can and will potentially (again, depending on the setting) decay in reverse and rather rapidly. Not saying this was the particular case but as a server owner I have experimented with decay often. It can be set to where decay sets in after a TC is looted and to twig in a matter of seconds. If the raider happens to know where the TC is. The TC was poorly placed. The TC was placed on a corner. All of those make for easy pickings. Again, it is not impossible.
Something also tells me that you aren't willing to accept what could potentially be the obvious. It looks like you are bent on it being a hack when it necessarily isn't.

I think this was a hacker because dose of crown a hacker who uploads youtube videos did this to muliple bases where they just downgrade it without tc
Dose of crown needs to be banned forever. he is giving out these cheats on his discord server. I have talked to youtube about removing his videos due to cheating in the game as to their rules but they seem not to care. I was on rustafied long and he messed with 10 days of progress I had done.
