• AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL ELECTION 2019 - Labor Beats Liberal Beats Clive?

So, there's an election going on today in Australia, recent polls suggest Labor will win but not by much. ABC News is covering everything, and will be live soon on TV/their website. Not sure what to put here, so have this somewhat scandalous story. Federal election 2019: Labor accuses Liberals of creating misleading Chinese-language posters https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1232/2d21e0fc-a456-4f02-9b93-cfde3f331b15/image.png
It would be almost poetic if Abbott and Dutton lose their seats, they have not been much more than wreckers for the Liberals. Dutton’s seat is certainly marginal, although it will take much more to unseat Abbott. But it’s not impossible, given what happened in the last Wentworth by-election.

For non-Australians here's how we do voting: http://www.chickennation.com/voting/ tldr: We have preferential voting, meaning we number candidates from most favorite to least favorite. If the party or representative you picked as 1 didn't win a majority, your votes flows to your second choice and so on until someone has a majority.
Started counting east-side votes. pleasebelaborpleasebelaborpleasebelabor
Tony losing his seat would be a victory in itself. Same goes for Dutton.

I think Tony Abbott had lost his seat.
Abbott is projected to lose his seat of Warringah Dutton is projected to maintain his seat
liberals holding on better than expected :\
I hope the Liberal party gets decimated but I predict that Labor will only win with the slimmest of majorities. For those of you overseas and didn't register that, they may send you a fine if you didn't vote. You can get this reversed if you prove to the AEC that you weren't in Australia at the time.
I think Gilmore is expected to go to Labor, which is a backfire for the Liberals after the Liberal leadership dumped the pre-selected candidate there, and parachuted in Warren Mundine instead.

Btw those watching the ABC stream, people are spoiling Endgame and GoT in chat so you might want ot turn that off if it concerns you.
We have to ensure Banana Life's ascendency
tony abbot is conceding in 15m
The Libs are going to win, calling it now. I live in one of the key seats and Labor are getting slaughtered.
Antony Green reckons if the Coalition does not lose any seats in WA (and no substantial changes in vote counts in eastern states) they will likely retain majority government. If they lose any, they are still likely to secure minority government.
I called this Election months ago, Liberals will win. People keep thinking shit is gonna get better when there is a new Prime Minister. They don't fucking realise that he's just a spokesperson for the Party, and it's the Party fucking up. It's genius to change Prime Ministers every second year cause it gives people a reason to give them the benefit of the doubt. Whenever there is a massive fuck up, just blame the Prime Minster, then force a spill, and boom that fuck up has now been dealt with in the eyes of the public Until people start realising that it's not the actual case and it's the party, Liberals will be taking hold of the Government for, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with them for another Decade.
I live in very a safe Labor seat held by a margin of 12.5%. The swing against Labor is almost 10% this election. Which I actually welcome, as I hate how ultra safe this seat is.
I don't get how people can keep fucking voting libs in.
Lol, Abbott lost his safe liberal seat to an independent.
I think Labor proposed too many changes, especially their Christmas list of changes for taxation. People tend to dislike change as change can create uncertainty, and perhaps many voters preferred the stance of continuation being promoted by the Coalition. Especially considering that Australia isn’t doing so badly right now; the whole ‘if it ain’t broke, why fix it?’ argument.
I can't wait to see what removing a whole fucking tax bracket is going to do for the funding of our social services. Not to mention the inaction of climate change. And I was really looking forward to finally having dental under Medicare...
I'm just super happy my skillset is transferable internationally. The liberals keep defunding STEM fields, and I just don't see a future for higher education jobs within our country, which sucks. Engineering Jobs just aren't being created in Australia.

I wonder if Liberals will keep blaming Labour when they win? It's disgusting how many votes One Nation and Palmer are getting. At least I have an excuse to post this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4tZRZSGxcE
Coalition may win or it's a hung parliament. Banking on Shorten was a horrible mistake, he's just not charismatic enough unfortunately.
Bill ‘Bradbury’ Shorten is such a Bradbury that he couldn’t even pull off a Bradbury
Queensland you absolute shithole.
