My BF got the components for a PC but it doesn't seem to work, despite all his trying. I'd like to know if anyone here knows of any shops/services that would be better equipped to deal with building the PC for him. He lives in Den Haag, and doesn't have a car so it'd much prefarable if the service would accept a home visit.
He looked up the list of components from a site where the current configuration was well tested, so none of the components should be incompatible with each other.
This might seem like a stupid request, but ask him to take a picture of the build with the case's side panel off and with good lighting, it could be something stupid like he didn't plug in the 4-8 pin EATX power cables to the motherboard(I've done this and gone OH FUCK and freaked out til I realized I was dumb) or it could also be:
1) Not properly seated RAM or graphics card(s)
2) SATA power and data cables/M.2 drive(s) not properly seated onto their respective interfaces
3) Accidental Electro-static discharge from not grounding yourself properly, or at least touching something metallic before working on the PC. If he assembled the computer in a room with static inducing carpet, this could be a serious issue.
