• func_movelinear has no open/close inputs

I recently fired up Hammer Editor and wanted to make some stuff with func_movelinear. But once i was ingame i noticed i couldnt make it move via ent_fire, so i double checked in ammer and there are no open/close inputs. I already verified my game data and reinstalled gmod with steam cloud turned off. Any Ideas on how to get those inputs back or do yall know a workaround? Your doorparent entity must not be a func_movelinear

Try having only 1 entity named doorparent, not many. It is possible and most likely the system sees another non func_movelinear entity with that name and uses that entity's inputs.
that was it, idk why but everytime i click apply, the door changes name to another already in use name and applies that. fixed! i didnt notice the bold name of the doorparent entity, thanks!
