• Vanilla props not updating to episodic versions

Hi, I've noticed that even though I have both episodes mounted, certain props do not receive updates to include the new skins and bodygroups added by the episodes. It worked previously (and I even have screenshots of it). For example, props_combine/combine_intmonitor001.mdl is missing skin2 (the red alert skin, from the screenshot) added by Episode One, and props_c17/door01_left.mdl is missing its keypad bodygroup, also added in Episode One. I still have the majority of the episodic content, including the new props such as props_c17/door03_left.mdl (where the keypad bodygroup is included). I don't know when exactly this stopped working, but if anyone else has the same issue, I'd like to hear about it. Or, even better, I'd love an official solution if there is one.
If you are mounting via the in-game menu, this is intentional. No content except for addons can overwrite base Half-Life 2 content (because it is shipped with GMod) You can try mounting the content via mount.cfg, altho I don't remember if that can override content. Alternatively you could extract the models folder from the game(s) you want into addons/somename/ to override Half-Life 2 content with episodic stuff.
Thank you. I am wondering, though; Why did it change? I don't think I had any addons or anything that affected my models when the red screen skin was functional in the screenshot.
The mounting order was changed quite some time ago to what it should've been in the first place, so files from other games (config files, broken models) would not break GMod and to more clearly define what overrides what.
