https://www.al.com/news/2019/05/alabama-public-television-refuses-to-air-arthur-episode-with-gay-wedding.html Alabama Public Television chose not to air PBS’s Arthur episode that included a same-sex marriage. In the episode, which aired nationwide May 13, Arthur and his friends attend their beloved teacher Mr. Ratburn’s nuptials to his partner. APT preempted the episode by showing a re-run of Arthur. Mike Mckenzie, director of programming at APT, said APT was notified by WGBH and PBS in mid-April about the episode entitled “Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone” and decided to ] show a re-run. Mckenzie said APT has no plans to air the episode at a later date. APT previously pulled an episode of Arthur in 2005, when Buster, a bunny character in Arthur visited a girl who had two mothers.
Wow really?? Alabama is usually such a social progressive place, this really took me by surprise.
rather have my daughter and son experiment with a real relationships by getting it on with eachother than having them be exposed to this heinous creation
This is a good idea because I generally incorporate the activities of anthropomorphic children's cartoon characters into my life as best I can. This is why I cannot watch Happy Tree Friends.
Everyone knows the healthiest way of raising a child is having them watch Youtube Kids on a tablet for sixteen hours a day and no supervision.

Alabama had been in the news a lot lately. For all the wrong reasons. Seems like this trend will continue for a very long time. Reasons feel like a deflection but it's almost believable.
why didn't he marry his sister instead
This is good for the Arthur show actually All Alabama will do is shout the message that Arthur is giving kids even louder. And they don't even intend to.
Honest to god I think the more impressive news is that Arthur is still getting new episodes to this day. I fucking remember watching that shit as a kid. I didn't know PBS kept making them.
Third-world shithole does third-world shithole thing. Seriously, I respect Alabamans less than Saudis at this point.
I posted this literally 5 days ago in another thread. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings/education https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58191/63a58ce3-0ea3-48fe-98a6-916720cd8e4f/bammalam.PNG Our kids might be braindead retarded but at least we don't have any scary faggots or brown people indoctrinating them out of God's way.

Imagine getting offended by a children’s cartoon showing two gay rats getting married like how pathetic your life experience must be
tbh I think slave labor ranks higher in the list of awful shit than the things you listed for Alabama
I only rank Alabama worse because it's a culture of savages that came from roots in Western civilization. Whereas SA has always been barbaric. It's a poster-child for theocratic middle-eastern culture, whereas Alabama and the culture of the Bible Belt states in general is the antithesis of the Western culture that spawned it. It's why I call it degeneracy. They've actually managed to devolve as a culture, go backwards. They certainly don't have seem to made much forward progress since the Civil War era, when it was among the worst of the Confederate states. Any 'progress' that has been made in Alabama since those days was forced on it by the Federal government.
Alabama would have slavery if it could.
Hello, I'm from Georgia a state over from Alabama. I don't know about full on slavery because I honestly stay in my house and avoid dealing with people as much as I can, but I can definitely say segregation would be popular.
We are talking about a state where a large amount of the patriotism present is for a country thats sole reason for existing was that people not only were okay with owning people as objects because of their skin color, but were willing to fight for the right to. Gurantee a majority of people in government would speak openly about denying rights to people of color if they could without some severe backlash from a majority of the rest of the country.
I'm not sure if I trust that list from US News. Massachusetts is ranked 27 for Higher Education. How is it possible for the state with both MIT and Harvard ranked on the bottom 50% for higher education?
hello yes i live in alabama. arthur is fake and gay!
Will Alabama get a locally friendly special episode where Arthur's sister gets 'blessed' by some rapist and is forced to carry the fetus until both die in childbirth.
Technically that would be Mr. Ratburn
