Hello,
i got a idea that i cannot make without your help because my skills are too bad for this.
I'm pretty sure you know there are dll scripthooks that are not detectable by any addons right?
Most of the time they are used to steal jobs, translations etc..
But what about when we try to make the "darkrpmodification" folder completly serverside so client cannot steal.
Is this possible?
It isn't. Most of the variables the darkrpmodification has are used by the client as well, so this wouldn't be possible at all.
You're just gonna have to accept the fact that there's no way to completely prevent someone from viewing your client/shared code.
Yeah it's just annoying when you translate the whole darkrp language file and someone is just that funny and copies this shit
That is your concern? That someone copies a language file?
Did that even ever ACTUALLY happen to you? Not gonna lie, I dont think its much of a problem...
No it didn't happen to me but that's why i'm searching for an solution. To prevent this.
It's just.. i don't want to get my hard work just copied.
So you'd rather deprive the world of a language file that, I'm going to guess, others may need just because you spent a lot of time on it!?!?
this might break your world now, but translating a language file to your language, is not hard work...
Also, you are german, just like me. There already is a german DarkRP translation language file, free to download. Even if you would create one yourself (which would be useless since there already is atleast one), no one would care to copy it...there is already one..free to download..
German DarkRP File
No i didn't mean only the language file. And also the german translation is bad. It's half english half german with broken spelling.
So no one really cares about scripthookers stealing some jobs and other stuff or did i understand it wrong?
It's not that no one cares. There is absolutely no way to prevent this from happening. All of your clientside scripts have to be sent to the client so that they can be executed on their machine. Even if you were to encrypt every single instruction right up to the moment it's executed, they would still be able to read it. They need to in order to run the script.
You just have to accept that your clientside scripts are basically public.
ive already had the case where people just copy the jobs from a other darkrp server, but not my stealing the code. just by looking what that job does, what weapon it has etc. and then just replicating that on their on DarkRP Server.
You are more likley to see THAT happening, instead of someone stealing your job code or anything else.
Because if someone needs to copy some simple darkrp code, then you can be sure they cant code at all, cant do anything on their own, so their darkrp server is bullshit anyway.
