Our is now a pediatric dentist, I think it was a few other places before that after blockbuster closed there.
Our BB got turned into a drug store that got closed in less than 6 months
Our blockbuster became a liquor store.
I had two of them near me, one is a Jersey Mike's and the other is a regional barbeque chain call Billy Sim's.
This. http://puu.sh/DwpBG/0f030d2e7b.png With a closed Vape shop next to it also and a tanning salon on the other side.
Beef o' Braideys.
Ours turned into a Movie Gallery.... which then turned into a random mattress store lol.
That just kinda sums this day and age up doesn't it?
Ours turned into a Goodwill and Papa Johns.
Ours got divided into a laundry mat and a pizzeria, how the mighty have fallen.
A Verizon Wireless store. The Hollywood Video turned into the Orileys.
You live in Southeast Virginia by chance?
Ours turned into an Autozone
Mine got turned into a Dollar Tree.
Ours turned into a Bank. It was only a 7 minute walk away.
Pet Store. with things like pet food and other stuff as such.
My local blockbuster got turned into a travel agency, which is surprisingly still doing fairly well judging by the amount of cars they have in their parking lot on any given day.
The one near me is now one of those sketchy loan places
My town had Video Ezy's being Australian, but those two have also closed down. There are only empty buildings there now
we had blockbusters too, the one when i was a teenager turned into a solicitors.
I miss wandering into a store, finding an interesting DVD/VHS cover, reading the back of it, and renting it.
Ours became a mattress store.
Yeah I used to ask my Dad if I could go to Blockbusters to rent a game, I have fond memories of doing so, I didn't always find something to rent but most of the times I went there, I came back out with a rented game. I also remember going to that same one for the midnight release of Black Ops 1, the first midnight release I'd ever been to before and there were actually about 10 - 20 people there aswell, for a small store I'd say that turnout was decent. I have good memories of that place, no place for it now though really, even though I live around the corner and just down the road from it now.
Mine got turned into a McDonalds of all things, Never will I forget the days of being 8 and going every week to rent a game
I lived almost down the road to the one that was in Perth, I didn't get a chance to visit it before it closed but I went to it a lot when I was younger with my parents after our regular video store shutdown. I'll try and take some photos of it tomorrow while I'm out, I don't know what current state it's in.
hey black ops 1 was my first midnight release as well. mw2 was the first cod game i played and i was so excited for black ops, set the expectation that each new cod game would be better than the last, then mw3 came out haha.
they started closing it down a month ago at least, when I visited the Camera House near it it wasn't that different but that was a bit back now
Naw, SE Michigan.
Ours's still an empty building ever since it was closed a long-ass time ago. Just.. Nobody wants it I guess. Little depressing to look at.
