The story seems funny, but its also creepy. This is like something a stalker would do.

Some people just don't give a shit, I had window cleaners jump the fence while I wasn't home to clean the outside windows once, a 1 story tall fence.
Yeah that's kind of characteristic of housekeeping/maid services.

They cleaned the house just so he would think it was some weirdo who breaks in and cleans houses. The perp wanted the homeowner to think that they had already done what they'd broken in to do. They wanted the homeowner to let his guard down. Because the perp is still in the house.

The toilet paper had some origami stuff done to it, I've actually seen this in hotels so it could be fairly common.
