This right here, is why games need to be preserved. And I mean officially and legally. Illegally downloading works sure, but the second you get caught, you're gonna be hit with massive consequences and will lose all the effort you put into archiving it.
Who's getting the profits from these games with the studio shut down? Might as well pirate if it's some arse. I'd rather just donate money to the developers who are still unemployeed
Thankfully, GOG being DRM free helps here. It makes it trivially easy to uh, share your copies of your legally bought games. Not that I totally haven't done this a few times! But I kinda get the idea that this is partially intentional by way of CD Projekt Red - pirated games dont necessarily mean lost sales, and it does mean otherwise lost games can be more easily preserved. Basically, once they are removed from digital storefronts? Pirate away, I mean it's not like Telltales getting any money from them
So basically, if you're interested, you either buy now or pirate later on? Brilliant.
Puzzle Agent getting removed from online stores? Ross Scott is going to be double unhappy about that. In all seriousness, it's a great game series and I'd recommend you grab it as soon as you can while you can.
For some arcane reason the games are far cheaper on steam than they are on gog. :/
So what happens to SBCG4AP? The Brothers Chaps are finishing up with the Trogdor Board Game right now, but for all intents and purposes Homestarrunner is in business right now. Will they try to seek the rights for that game?
that's not at all what he said
Nah the game's actually pretty good, I enjoyed it. Randy's just a bit of a prick who doesn't pay people correctly
Telltale still exists in a sense. While the studio isn't making games, it mentioned that about 25 people were being kept on board to fulfill obligations to the board and partners. Also if you're hoping that Randy gets no money, you were never able to buy this game in the first place since Gearbox was always getting paid.
game came out like five years ago the allegations that randy took 12 million dollars of company money are very recent
Just buy Tales from the Borderlands. Sure, Randy might get some money, but the fact that a game he wasn't involved in getting more money than the one he did would probably hurt his ego.
Petty manchild hates petty manchild
Gotta pay extra to keep your frames.
I hope the chapps brothers can save SBCG4AP
I'm pretty sure that team is no more since Minecraft for Netflix completed the first 3 episodes in November, and the last 2 Episodes being delivered in December. Even then so, before ( in a span of 2 - 3 weeks after the original closure announcement ) that released, a small team within the crew also got laid off too. https://twitter.com/rnoelliams/status/1047930803634630657 https://twitter.com/rnoelliams/status/1047975335235481600
Will you be able to get these games on Steam?
Some of them, yes.. Available on Steam Wolf Among Us Batman Seasons 1 & 2 Puzzle Agent 1 & 2 Sam and Max Seasons 1 - 3 Guardians of the Galaxy Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Telltale Texas Hold 'em Hector : Badge of Carnage Epic Games Exclusive The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 2 The Walking Dead Michonne The Walking Dead A New Frontier The Walking Dead The Final Season Unlisted Tales From the Borderlands Jurassic Park The Game Back to the Future The Game Poker Night 1 & 2
I don't know why they don't make games that are going to be pulled from platforms either really cheap or free. You're not going to profit from them either way.
good old days of Abandonware
Am I missing something? Why are the WD games Epic exclusive? Did Skybound specifically sellout?
Skybound reached an exclusivity agreement with Epic so they could get the funds to finish the rest of the final season
It's a pity, Tales from Borderlands is the only BL game that have anything resembling humor in it from all BL games in the series...
