I think this is fantastic news, I remember someone saying that any reworks to Sonic wouldn't be major since changes to his skeleton would require entirely remaking any scenes he is in, but with this delay I think the studio is actually going to do that.
He's wearing a glove in that art.
The movie may still be a flop, but I give them props for taking the backlash and going through with fixing it. Don't see that everyday.
Props to them for delaying the movie to fix VFX. Too bad this will not save the script from being awful mess.
Lol, like changing Sonic's model is really going to save this flop of a movie; they'd be better off filming more stuff with Jim Carrey as Robotnik and just cutting Sonic's stuff.
It's going to take a lot more than an updated design of Sonic to fix this movie.
I might go see it just to reward the vfx animators and artists for doing a brand new sonic model and needing to redo every scene with Sonic in it.

Sonic Boom had blue arms and was good. While it won't be the same here it's more the body structure and facial design that people care about.

Honestly surprised they didn't just release it. I would have made quite a lot of money from the memes alone, and the whole "I have to see how bad it is" group.
Was about to point it out. It's already a good sign.
The extra time won't fix the basic bitch script the movie has but at least we may not have to look at that abomination throughout 2hrs of runtime.
