A police union actually for accountability? Say it ain't so
Pure speculation, but from what I’ve seen from police unions, they’ve probably either A. Had a previous beef with this guy or B. Want him to take the fall/blame despite several other people failing to follow proper protocol to avoid acknowledging systematic failures in the legal system to protect people’s rights against police corruption/incompetence.
I’m not allowed to give my sources but just so you know how flat out retarded police unions are, I’d like to share a story. A local police department is being forced to fight the union in a hearing because they suspended some stupid bitch with a long streak of fuck ups who negligently discharged her firearm in a locker room and almost shot her fellow officer. It’s really cut and dry but the police union with full knowledge of the incident decided to represent her anyway because their policy is to represent everyone who calls them regardless.
Just because you're a retard doesn't mean you don't deserve someone to represent your case properly. Not like we deny murderers the right for lawyers even though 'they clearly did it'.
Something stinks here. I'm not saying the chief shouldn't step down, but the union seems way to eager for him to take the fall and the nature of the leaked report makes the rank and file look like garbage. There has got to be more moving parts in this.
