Rayman 1 soundtrack was fucking amazing, it's is really sad to hear that his composer is not longer with us. Thanks Remi for such amazing work!

Sad to see the guy go, he really created some fantastic and iconic pieces.
Ah fuck, I loved that soundtrack
Damn, I still have the music on my phone, and regularly listen to it. It always brings back memories of a game that was hard to beat, but with amazing gameplay and an even more amazing soundtrack.
That sucks real bad. Easily one of my favorite (and stupidly difficult) childhood games, and I doubt any other composer could have given it the same atmosphere.
I remember him trying to kickstart a remaster of the Rayman 1 soundtrack a few years back but unfortunately it went nowhere.
Damn that's too bad, that would have been really amazing.
Don´t forget that you have to 100% the whole game to even go to the last level :v
And the way you have to 100% the game is a huge pain if you don't have a guide walkthrough. You can only get the cages to show up depending on the path you take when traversing the levels, and none of them are obvious.
I still have PTSD over band land...
Band land was the best part. All that sliding around finding small nooks and crannies with hidden stuff. Given, I was around 6-7 when I played it and never got past the picture city.
Never got to finish it either because it was DOS based and my parents upgraded to a computer with Windows XP.
I've been planning on playing Rayman 1 through ePSXe and using save-states to bypass the lives-system for a more sensible level of difficulty.
Better put that plan into fruition soon to honour Gazel.
The first level of band land is actually the longest one in the game.
Band Land has so many unique enemies, I really love that.
Oh looking back band land is a wonderful plethora of design, creativity and outlandish whimsy...
but back then I was 8 years old and basically a retard with no hand-eye coordination and thus Band Land was basically platformer hell.
