If this turns out to be real will it be on Steam or is this supposed to be "incentive" to buy Borderlands 2 on EGS? Because didn't they cut ties with Steam after the potentially staged negative review bombing last month?
Borderlands 2 isn't in EGS, neither is Borderlands 3 at the moment since the sale is still going on.
Ahh. I knew as much regarding 3 due to the news about the fisaco with the EGS sale but had no idea that 2 wasn't there.
This DLC will be hyping up 3, so they want it to reach it as many players as possible. It would make no sense not to release it on Steam, since that's where most BL2 owners are.
Damn it Randy, I really don't want to give you money, but I wouldn't pass on more BL2 content either.
I've had enough of 2 so, ehh, pass for now.

Making a dlc for a game that hasn't had DLC in 5 years is hardly milking it
All Randy aside, I really appreciate how Gearbox has been doing pre-sequel content for their games. As much as the genuine pre-sequel was meh, it's a very smart thing to be dropping content related to your sequel during the early hype.
I thought the presequel told what happened before BL2 and Tales from the Borderlands is what happened after BL2
Worst case scenario: the new DLC retcons Tales from the Borderlands out of existence, because it wasn't made by Gearbox, and Randy is an arrogant cunt who respects Tales' fanbase so little that he wouldn't even pay to get Rhys' voice actor back. Also, Rhys and the rest of the Telltale original characters (if any other appear) die and/or treated like shit in Borderlands 3, for the same damn reason.
Is this an overreaction on my part? Perhaps, but we're talking about the CEO who might be the single biggest sociopath in the industry. For all we know, dude might legitimately find it funny to piss off Tales fans just for the sake of it. He finds animal cruelty funny, so who knows what else he's capable of.

Take into account that the PC Show is sponsored by EGS.
If the dlc is announced at that venue I wouldn’t take it for granted that there will be a steam release at the same time as an EGS release.
I have no idea why Randy and the Crew think people give so much of a fuck about the Intensive Dramatic Lore of Borderlands. Sure I like seeing the BL characters and the antics they get up to, but all the intensive over-focus on the Core Four is sort of why BL2 sucks the big one for me, plot-wise, and why I infinitely prefer the plot of BL1 even if I don't like its gameplay, because it's all about YOUR DUDES looting shit and getting into trouble along the way.
Tales was hands down the best written BL game and I'd go as far to say one of of the best written TT games.
