Ironically its this sort of shit thats stopped me from taking a look at mobile games. I spend about 2 hours on public transport a day which is prime time for me to be playing some dumb mobile game but I cannot for the life of me (outside of hearthstone) actually find any that aren't bullshit shovelware or a clash of clans clone.
Im sure theres good games out there but how in the damn hell does anyone find them?
Watched this yesterday then this morning when I woke up I put on a youtube video on my phone to watch and an ad for a mobile game popped up(don't remember the name) but the gameplay was literally Crysis 1 and some crappy dubbed sounds for the 2 soldiers the player was shooting at
Whenever I see those screenshots that doesn't feature gameplay or have some BS graphic framed around them, I just nope out. A waste of my time and a waste of their time.
Mobile game advertising and marketing is exactly what I hate most in advertising and marketing.
What pissed me off the most was a particular mobile game's advertisement:

If you actually download the game, it's NOTHING like that at all. It's a candy crush clone, and you don't do a single thing you do in this ad. I thought it was gonna be like a "buy a house, fix it up, and flip it", and build your business or empire" type game. But nope, candy crush. From that point on, I don't bother downloading games based on advertisements.
I looked up 'good free mobile games' on reddit and found PunchQuest, Polytopia, and Datawing. How other people find these games is another matter entirely.
Usually what I do is google for top 10 android game lists and check out the more recent articles.

this guy just earned a new subscriber. great video nonetheless, thanks for posting
i have a hunch that the game ad script he blocked out is for Raids: shadow ledgend based on how many people suddenly talking about the game with similar script.
i've seen so many games using screenshots and videos of red alert 2 and age of empires 2 (guns of glory and weird arabic mobile strike ripoff constantly use these)
Thats the thing when all those asian money makers and literal scams are getting here unfiltered and unregulated.
Would be nice if maybe regulations would at least target those influencers.
Clearly you can't expect them to have a spine and not advertise those "games" in a 100% scripted video.
Hey, they aren't all totally deceptive! Some of them feature 2 seconds of tiny, almost unintelligible footage of actual gameplay after the stolen footage of other games/cartoon that has nothing to do with the game/tits! That 2 seconds clearly excuses how the rest of the ad is total bullshit! /s
