Friendly Frank..
Or is it??
Wow what if valve made games
wow this video is quotable as hell
very amusing characters and writing, if only valve got actual games made of their IPs instead of these 10 minute tech demos, though...
My bad but, this was actually made my Cloudhead Games.
Cool demo, makes me wish Valve made... something?
I never realized how much I would love to see Henry Zebrowski in a Portal game.
Valve did the writing/voice acting.

I miss really transparent gamedev videos like this
It's so good that seeing this hurts because I know that there is near zero chance of getting an actual game from valve.
Aren't there 3 titles confirmed to be coming?
there's at the very least one that's been officially confirmed for release sometime this year
Knowing valve is having the equivalent of a stroke these past few years, their flagship VR game is probably Artifact VR
I don't have faith that it's going to be anything good. And they are VR-exclusive titles then the only way to play them for me is via youtube.
Wow seeing some new core stuff from the portal universe almost feels wrong since it’s been so long since a main line game.
Flashbacks to portal pinball
Imagine all the cool ways you can hold a card in VR, wowee
You can now enjoy the full experience of typing your credit card info and opening card packs in Virtual Reality!
I've yet to see any fingers crossing one another and generally splaying. Unless it's actually a thing and I've just not seen it. I'm still going to wait as cool as this is. The moment they figure out how to completely replicate hands is when I'm near guaranteed to jump in.
I highly recommend boycotting them.
Valve as a company deserve to go under.
Make gabe starve.
You swipe your virtual steam credit card in the virtual reality valve market shoppe and have haptic feedback to really simulate futzing about trying to open a thin pack of cards.
That'd actually be a really cool way of implementing it. The marketplace shop thing I mean showing off the models of the items that are available to buy. Swiping your card might be a bit much tho lmao
There are game companies out there far more deserving of a boycott than Valve, "they aren't making the stuff I want" is not a valid reason unless you're 12 years old.
Theyre a talent suck. They have some of the most talented individuals in the industry working there. Yet they dont release anything because of their broke dick leadership structure.
If valve went under, there'd be a talent saturation in the market. You'd probably see some fringe developers start new teams and IP as well.
Valve is the USSR, and I can't wait to see what happens when it fragments.
Just because you don't think they release anything doesn't mean they're keeping people locked in cages, Valve has always been doing something, yes we the public haven't seen much of it but that doesn't mean they're just locking their devs in underground vaults. I get not liking the direction they've gone in but your view on this is totally warped.
Ok there Epic
Why work at Valve when you could land a gig at Riot and get your dick grabbed by another dude on the daily.
Realistically you'd just end up with slightly prettier FIFAs and Anthems and such.
Blizzard is 4,700 people, EA 9,300, Ubisoft 13,800. Valve is <400. It's not the black hole you think it is.
A lot of valve's VR demo stuff (like The Lab) is in the Portal universe.
The startup for the HTC Vive has you in a white room where you can't really tell dimensions, until a jeep goes by with one of those 2-dimensional little people (from the portal safety videos) in it.
