https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQmVazrsZIM It's weird seeing so much care and passion being put into a PC port of all things.
tbh I hope its fps unlocked
They already confirmed it would be, and in fact talked about some of the challenges in creating an unlocked FPS mode in the latest MCC development blog.
Damn Halo is like the one game I really need to experience at 120fps+ Already have high hopes for this
That's the plan, but of course, given how these games were made originally, it could be a challenge to get the games working 100% properly above 60 FPS. Same with FOV, but regarding that, it sounds like they're going to impose a soft limit that they recommend you not going above, but still give you the option to go above if you want and don't mind seeing viewmodels break.
Will it have Ray Tracing though? Can it make use of my 2080? RTX On/Off???
these games are old and engineered weirdly so it's not a guarantee.
At least they got rid of that horrid ghosting effect from the OG release. That shit made me feel like I was having a stroke every time.
This looks really good, glad to hear that the developers are listening to the community feedback too.
They make mention of players making mods to make Kat a better driver around 44:00, I know 343 has been more aware of the modding community but has mod support been officially confirmed ever before this point?
They have discussed implementing mod support in the future and that they're working with those who made ElDewrito. Personally I am not expecting official modding tools until all games are out on MCC.
They've stated that modding support won't be really seriously considered until after launch, i.e. until all the games are there, but some games will probably have it easier than others (Halo 1 and 2 comes to mind.)
What do they mean by 'flighting' and 'seasons'?
Flighting is basically alpha/beta testing from what I can gather. Seasons is a new way of rewarding armour permutations. Instead of just having to grind a ton to get a certain piece, you'll now be able to earn armour during seasons by completing specific requirements. Thankfully, seasonal armour won't be removed once a new season launches. So say you didn't get to play at all during season 1, when season 2 arrives, you can still earn whatever armour was part of season 1.
