Legit, I hate Overwatch lore so much. It's literally only there as a marketing angle, it wasn't something they genuinely wanted to do. Everything is so vapid and paper thin and pretends to be bigger than it really is, a lot of the shorts are straight up embarrassing. I think I'd say the D.va short was the final straw and made me put down the game for good. It's there so they can put it on the back of the box that it has DEEPEST LORE, they clearly didn't plan anything out or had any fucking idea what they wanted to do. Having robots as a allegory for racism/oppression is such a fucking overdone topic, and unless you bring something really new to the table it's just going to come off as lazy, which it is.

I leave you with this, a game that doesn't take itself seriously at all yet has lore that's x100 more interesting to read in its absurdity.
