What was your most informational experience on the developer's thread?

Hello, I just want to preface this thread by saying that I keep learning a LOT while reading threads, helping people, and listening to what people have to say on this thread. It's been a very enlightening and enjoyable experience for the most part.

I also wanted to give everyone the opportunity to share their experiences and start a discussion - maybe you have a specific thread that has helped you tremendously over the years and find yourself referring to often, or maybe there was a bit of information that made you go "ah ha!" when you were first starting out.

I'd like to read your stories and read the threads that have helped you along the way. I'm hungry for knowledge and I think that personal interpretations of knowledge gained is always much more enjoyable to read than "here's this wiki link"; because people tend to break things down into ways they understand the information. That, for me, is often more in-depth and educational.
