I can think of two applications:
CPU Heatsinks and making one of the best THC dabs possible.
I think you're thinking of thermal conductors, not insulators. A solid non-flexible insulator (such as aerogels) doesn't have a use in a heatsink which is supposed to conduct then diffuse heat.
I can't think of a worse application actually.
Aerogel is an insulator so it'd be considerably worse than no heatsink.
Aerogel I'd about the most sci-fi thing I can possibly think of, the shit is just so cool....
