Wow, they did a hell of a job adapting the artwork
Looks awesome, Harold looks like the highlight of the film.
not entirely sure i get the praise tbh, it looks like a standard modern horror movie (that is, a sub-standard horror movie) just with better designed monsters. like a massive amount of effort has obviously gone into their costumes and effects but i have strong doubts they'll be in service of anything particularly good or scary
Curious what the rating on this will be
PG13 ofc. The books were aimed at a younger audience as well, so yea
Hope this is the usual shitty studio trailer. I guess del Toro is the best person to do it. The artwork was some hellish shit.
That woman from The Dream is going to be mine. Harold was scary because it was the first time I heard of a story where some man was skinned alive by a monster, but that damn ghost woman was so uncanny even in it's own book it gave me nightmares. The story was not the best, but the appearance and her description was enough to put the fear factor by 11 in the third book. Plus the fact she looks like a mixture of costume and cgi makes the effect all the more terrifying. The new guy The Jangly Man looks to take the same idea to make some new kind of monster something out of Silent Hill. I'm seeing this day 1 and I'm getting the best seat in the house.
Looks the most tense and real of horror trailers I've seen in a very long time I hope it's successful because I can't stand some of the old Blumhouse garbo and a lot of horror in general because of it
