Would it be possible to use the SantosRP car dealer on a DarkRP server and if so, would it be better to add the files into an addon folder or place them into their coexisiting folders on the DarkRP folder?
I don`t know SantosRP at all, but 99% of all RP Gamemodes are based of DarkRP. So yea, you most likley can just put the Addon in the normal DarkRP gamemode as well.
If SantosRP is based of the rare "Nutscript" framework, its not gonna work
Just take the SantosRP car dealer addon folder and drop it into your server's addons. You definitely don't want to scatter the folders because it's obnoxious if you ever want to report and issue or test a bug.
I believe I've seen a couple darkrp servers use SantosRP Car Dealer. Worst case scenario you drop it in the addons folder of your server and it doesn't work 🤷
The thing is, all the car dealer related files aren't in one folder, they are spread out into entities folders, shared folders, client folders etc.
yea but all these folders are located within one main folder, that has the name of the addon

On second thought - this is going to take much longer than I originally thought, but it does need to be converted to an addon - it just won't be easy. However, I need to sleep this has to be a project that's worked on for a while before it's ready.
Is it as simple as placing the files in the right folders within an addon folder or do you have to rewrite parts of the code?
That's still something that I'm trying to figure out - I think so far it's just about putting the right files in the right folders but there is also dozens and dozens of individual files to go through and I know the sounds/models/resources will need to be re-written... so there's that.
Not sure you should reupload someone's work as Workshop creation, especially that he SantosRP gamemode has never been posted on the workshop, and posting unauthorized works of other people is highly advised against, and the creator could have filed a DMCA against the addons page.
There's a reason why nobody helps here regarding SantosRP - It's because all the sources of the gamemode are either leaked, or a bought leaked copy from a rogue dev, or whatever.
There is no legit copy of SantosRP - And the only community, as far as I know, that own the rights, is the original community, MazeRP, or whatever.
