Honestly I wouldn't really call this souls like since you don't really seem to take a great deal of damage, whereas one of the things I know from souls like games is taking hits can be quite punishing.

I'm already liking the looks of this 2D souls-like/Soulsvania than the other one. Not Dead Cells, but Death Gambit, the one that was sort of published by adult swim games. The way it does the heretical cult look for the world and the characters reminds me of Salt and Sanctuary, but you can actually see the sprites.

I'm looking forward to it since a friend of mine ( and old Source modder, Baxayaun , who also worked on Spec Ops: The Line and the by then cancelled Dead Island 2 ) is working on it. I have been following the progress of this game since some years and at least artistic wise isn't going to fail, that's for sure.
