Extinction Rebellion campaigners chain themselves to Scottish Pa..
The campaigners have "locked themselves by the neck" to the Government building in a bid to demand that the upcoming Scottish Climate Bill takes further action to combat climate change.
The keys to the locks have been delivered to the five leaders of the main political parties within Scotland along with a note.
That's honestly rather badass.

First ones to free their teenagers:
Greens and Left.
Last ones: CDU(center right)
Same thing greenpeace has been doing for decades.
Perhaps the public is finally warming up on environmental issues, when the threat of societal collaspe looms perhaps these protests start to be seen as more and more reasonable.
"Extinction Rebellion" sounds cooler
Also what Lamarr said. There's strongly increasing awareness of these issues (now that we can actually feel them here to a considerable degree).
Because Greenpeace are idiot ecoterrorists fond of breaking into places and doin millions in damage while these are just kids who want a better future?
Probably cause greenpeace are a bunch of idiots
Greenpeace is anti-nuclear
Greenpeace imo is somewhat responsible for our situation and dependence on oil because their intense anti nuclear campaign. Nuclear is the best way out and if we had went hard nuclear since it's inception without Greenpeace then we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.

Fuck Greenpeace.
I find it so ironic that greenpeace played a huge role in climate change after all
Because there's more money to be made nowadays from the media coverage.
XR is completely non violent and aims not only to make activists part of the movement but everyone from grannies to children.
Greenpeace has been about as effective at preventing climate change as PETA has been at protecting the wellbeing of aninals. Just money and publicity whoring.
This is factually not true

>5 million Eruos annual revenu
Yeah.... OK bud.
What do you want to say
The English wiki article says they have 5 million in revenue. That is a rounding error in moderately sized state, let alone a world market. Hardly what I'd call an influence on climate change.
The power company also exists as a separate entity from the eco-terrorists (probably so their assets didn't get seized in a lawsuit). Greenpeace (the terrorists) only own 5 shares in the entire company. They functionally have no control over it, and from what I can glean from the partial translations the company has no realistic revenue model beyond token interest.
How are they terrorists? I don't remember the last time Greenpeace bombed a oil rig or killed a whaling crew, I also don't recall any government organisation labelling them as such either.
That is revenue, not overturn.
They are not in for the profit.
Overturn is
111 Million €
Energy delivered was 379 Kwh in 2017, that is
181,920 tonnes of Co2 with the current emission factor of 480

The plea to the core principles of Greenpeace is regulated through a contract for the logo and name usage, not through shares.
Your opinion is factually wrong and your tone and wording is very loaded.
Revenue is not the same as profit. A convenience store on a freeway can have 5 million USD in revenue per year. There must be some serious translation issues here because the numbers don't add up.
I look forward to the day they chain themselves to the rocket to mars.
