Stop raising our prices on everything you fucking knob
Do it fucknugget, do it and get fucked.
Does he literally not know what tariffs do
He thinks they make other countries nervous and that they have no choice but to bite their fingernails over us shooting ourselves in the foot with increasingly large calibers of munition.
nothing says "invisible hand of the market" like governmental tariffs
Monday: Dow falls hundreds of points because trump said he would do something Tuesday: Dow up hundreds of points because trump said he won't do something Wednesday: Dow falls hundreds of points because trump said he would do something ect ect ect and yet Trump is the best president for businesses we've ever had(!)... fucking corporate america needs to actually put their money where their mouth is and tell their pet lobbyists and think tanks to actually stop supporting republicans instead of what they do now where they say they're for a 15$ min wage but really spend billions fighting any new wage laws
He also isn't affected by the rising prices because he's a rich spoiled idiot, as long as HIS money is safe, he doesn't care if everyone else gets fucked and he keeps playing the "tough" card.
dont worry hes a business man and says what were all thinking etc etc /s incase it wasn't bleeding obvious
Don't bananas cost $10 at the grocery store anyways? What's another dollar or two to it?
Keep in mind that Trump has already tariffed as much of China's trade as he can without directly tariffing consumer goods. The costs to supply chains have gone up, but products consumers buy directly off the shelf haven't been hit straight on. If Trump goes ahead with these tariffs, this will change. I wonder just how much support Trump will have for his trade war when 2/3rds of the shelves in Wal-Mart increase in price by 25%. In case anyone's wondering, the reason Trump keeps on threatening and then applying tariffs is that it's basically the only thing he can do in a completely unilateral way that directly hits other nations. It's the only way he can exercise the dictatorial power he craves and until recently enjoyed as the CEO of his own privately-held companies. This is also Trump's idea of encouraging diplomacy and negotiation - smacking them and demanding they give concessions in exchange for the tariffs to stop. Look at him threatening Mexico with another tariff while the NAFTA 2.0 trade deal is currently awaiting ratification from all three nations' governments -- and the steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada and Mexico are still in place.
He'll just start blaming the Dems and people will believe it.
i feel like this post desperately needs an /s based on the reactions to it
Not that I’m endorsing Trump here, but what kind of action would people actually wanna see with regards to China?
it gets better, he gets mexico to implement the treaty in exchange for dropping the tariffs then the next week he reimpliments the tariffs for another reason like immigration (even though mexican immigration is at a net zero right now), he's using the same trick over and over again in the same damn month
