I'm afraid of whatever my phone is trying to translate in a DOOM thread, especially from Luxembourgish https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/472337/199a4770-52c3-4e81-808b-cd954b2442c5/Screenshot_20190606-091435_Chrome.jpg
Can't wait to see what they do with Hayden as a villain and how VEGA's backup will play a role in this game.
Cool, the warhammer 40k-esque heaven from the first game's concept art is officially in.
y'all think there'll be a wolfenstein easter egg?
I think we all know how this fight is going to end. http://puu.sh/DCHYu/3c56ebe240.png
That demon has a super shotty wtf
https://pmcvariety.files.wordpress.com/2018/08/doom-eternal-marauder.png Maybe he should've used that instead.
iirc Hugo implied he's related to the Slayer and Praetor suit somehow.
Perhaps past Slayers who have been swayed to join the path of darkness? Or Perhaps hell has taken some of the Slayers DNA in order to try and create a hell beast that can rival the Slayer.
What if he's a Nemesis-esque character that hunts us down through the game and is a very real threat to us, with us "killing" him just meaning we've temporarily stopped his pursuit and drops bonus items, before we just straight up murder him at the end game.
That sounds pretty cool, I get the feeling that won't be the case though but if it is, a Boss who keeps pestering you throughout the game until you can finally kill them, good shit.
Mind theres meant to be some invasion mechanic in this game now where other players can join your game and attack you, I reckon that demon is probs what the other player controls.
Other players can posses random demons as well.
"who the fuck are you" "im you but stronger" https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/201023/2c863987-5b2b-4ce7-9e98-86e3ffadca95/b4b48d3b-698c-43b3-98f0-1386ac66ee0f.png "who the fuck are YOU" "im you but STRONGER"
Idk bout you guys but I dont think Bethesda shadowdropping DOOM during their conference is that crazy of a concept just mentioning it.
Don't think it's really likely, but I wouldn't want that scenario either. I'd rather wait a few more extra months so id can take the time they need, than to have it instantly in my hands next week and be a rushed disaster at launch.
They wouldn't release it during the conference, it's suicide. Look at what happened to the saturn when they did that.
While I don't agree with shadowdrops, there's a huge difference between a single hyped game, and an entire console no one really knew much about yet getting launched before developers even had anything ready for it, without telling said developers ahead of time, because of a retarded CEO.
Honestly this and Halo are really the only PC releases I care about seeing this E3. DOOM was great and seeing them doubling down on what worked about it instead of trying to morph to other industry standards gets me really excited
That's an interesting take - what if this demon is from a parallel universe that gave into hell, and Hell turns out to be some mega-dimension that exists throughout all parallel universes? Would be a way to explain anyway just how powerful / terrifying Hell is, coincides with "What you interfere with now is bigger than you can imagine"
Problem is, Doom guy's suit was made by a demon. It's entirely likely this was another civilization that got brought into the hellish folds and instead embraced demonhood, augmenting themselves and other demons in the process. Then Doomslayer came along and fucked them up so bad they had to make a suit for him.
God I'm gonna have some fun being a piece of shit in this game, just bugging the crap out of people as like a Revenant or something fast, question being, what can we play as?
Well last year's trailer showed a few, and the slayer rewards show some more https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/140d20c5-b20a-4b7c-826c-9fdc3978b5ed/image.png
I just realized how funny it would be if you could res/spawn AI demons as an archvile. I would fuck with people so much
A player controlled Archvile, I can't wait to see how we can cheese it. Dat Ghost Pain Elemental though, oof, gimme.
Perhaps doom eternal should feature a "super archvile" who's ability would consist of spawning small cat sized archviles and those cat sized archviles would be able to spawn tiny highly nerfed versions of regular enemies such as tiny barons.
The reason the Saturn's surprise release failed was because Sega had already set a release date for that year, store were already advertising when they'd have it. Then Sega went and gave a small number of store an exclusive contract to sell the Saturn starting after their E3 conference without telling anybody else. This pissed off all the other stores who were snubbed and many refused to stock the Saturn after that, it also pissed off developers who thought they had months to work on their games to get them out in the console release window and now couldn't. Surprise releasing a console is retarded as it fucks over pretty much everyone but the customer (and even then the limited quantities restrict availability), and not at all comparable to releasing a game. That said they won't release Doom Eternal at E3 because releasing a game when everyone is busy looking at the game industry news is a great way to be ignored.
Is it me or that voice sounds like even more processed Hayden?
He decided that his transhuman robot suit was not transhuman enough and transplanted himself inside of a double robot suit.
