I lived in Australia for a couple years and did labor jobs which required me to learn the metric system. As much as I'm familiar and accustomed to the imperial system the metric system just makes sense lol.
The international standard of time-keeping is another (((globalist))) plot to control the world. lmao what kind of idiot would support a single system of measurement tbh
OH SHIT THEY'RE ONTO US
The Jews are at it again

hell yeah baby lemme get another boof of that good ol american brain drain
He's literally saying we should keep using it because "its customary" and "The french made metric"
I swear to god this is written in the same way a satire would be
"The system of imperial units or the imperial system ... first defined in the British Weights and Measures Act of 1824"
vs.
"Most historians agree that Gabriel Mouton, the vicar of St. Paul’s Church in Lyons, France, is the “founding father” of the metric system. He proposed a decimal system of measurement in 1670."
?????????
"Kylo-grams"?
If you don't measure distances in AUs and temperatures in kelvin, you're missing out.
1 CM? pfff more like 0.000000000000066845813 AU
I measure exclusively in planck lengths thank you
I mean, I hate Tucker Carlson, believe me I do.
But this seems like they're trying to do a stupid """comedy""" bit.
Tucker Carlson is a huge fuckin idiot, but I'm still having a hard time believing that he actually honestly believes something this dumb.
He might be trying to please his audience or something, like European = bad or some shit, but either way, Jesus Christ.
It doesn't really matter if he personally believes it or not, he's spreading misinformation in bad faith, that's all that matters.
As a construction tradesperson who lives in Canada, fuck the Imperial system. Honestly I work with and know Imperial far better than I do Metric, but it's inane how much time needs to be spent doing decimal to fraction and decimal feet to decimal inch conversions for construction. My trade operates predominately with Imperial but general contractors on city jobs mostly issue their architectural blueprints in Metric, so everything needs to be converted to Imperial.
Also to make matters worse, once upon a time some guys who came along and were like "hey, having all of our drill-bits in 8ths, 16ths, 32nds, and 64ths is really confusing, what if we just label them all in decimal inches so we can adopt a new standard?" and then there were two retarded systems. Then some other clown came along as was like "there's really too many drillbit sizes, what about if we just number them for standard sizes, like a gauge?" and then there were 3 equally awful measurement systems built into the same bad measuring system. It's legitimately hilarious that people actually start using decimal inches and decimal feet instead of just using metric.
Oh my god, this is like some scene from Idiocracy
I doubt it, his whole shtick is that he brings on guests which posit these right-wing conspiracy theories in order to test the waters, so that he can test the waters and dissociate himself if there's a negative reaction or integrate it into his future segments if it catches on.
"Kilogram? See, their intentions are right there! They want to kill your gram! Hide your grandma from the metric system!"
I think you two have a little too much faith in humanity.
at least the part of humanity that makes up and watches fox news
aren't imperial units defined in cm

I can't believe the French would make such a vague creepy system tbh
Nobody tell Tucker that the Imperial System is based upon the Metric System for over a century now.
when I see a recipe and the ingredients are measured in cups instead of milliliters I briefly consider dying of starvation
