• Recreating HL1 Vox Announcer in lua TTS

I was wondering if anyone had ever tried to do this and if so what problems they ran into. I googled around a little bit and found a couple posts of people stating that all the Vox words were generated using TTS and fed into a vocoder however no one seems to know which one it was and most discussions on the topic are rather old. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to implement this in-game.
It can be done by a clientside module. Or some speech text API service (like the google one)
