I won't pretend to know exactly what impact that will have on things, but it doesn't sound all that favorable.
EPA not doing its job and misreporting because its staff is completely at the whim of the powers that be? Next you're gonna tell me the IRS is deliberately being run on a skeleton crew and is running on 60 year old analogue computing equipment!
methane is 24-36x more potent than CO2 and we don't really understand its cycle in the atmosphere unlike CO2, like there's no known method of sequestering atmospheric methane, the only natural sinks are those places underground or under water where it gets trapped.
Reminder that the current head of the EPA andrew wheeler was a lobbyist for Murray Energy (coal company) and is a climate change skeptic aka anti-science fuckwit.
Climate change is the global Chernobyl. The ones in charge will deny and obfuscate the truth to prevent us all from realizing that our government and economic systems have completely and totally failed the human race. Human society won't be spurred into action until the catastrophe has already fallen on our shoulders.
At least with Chernobyl the effects were immediate and visible, that even the Iron Curtain couldn't hide the truth, and the Soviet Government was forced to not only acknowledge, but fix it.
Climate change is the slow "invisible" disaster, just transparent enough that these people can ignore it and deny it exists. It's a vengeful spirit, it cannot be seen, but sooner or later, it will be felt, painfully...
And yet watch nothing be done about this while the average joes are continually bitched at to be the sole force of change...
