Halo is a sci-fi FPS franchise created by Bungie and currently developed by 343 Industries.
Initially revealed at MacWorld 1999 as a third person action game for the Mac OS, everything changed when Microsoft bought Bungie in its entirety.
Halo was to be an Xbox launch title, and the rest is history.

Whether you're planning to drop feet first onto Alpha Halo for the first time or you're coming back to an old friend when the MCC PC port drops, consider the following:
The Eric Nylund Trilogy and Contact Harvest: These books write up the backstory of Halo, the events between Halo 1 and 2, and some rumblings of what happens to those left on Reach after it fell. Seriously, pick these up:
Halo: Fall of Reach
Halo: First Strike
Halo: Ghosts of Onyx
Halo: Contact Harvest
Play in release or chronological order. Interested in seeing how far that gameplay went from 2001 to 2012? Play 1-3, then ODST, Reach and finally 4. Want just that story? Play Reach, 1-2, ODST, then 3-4.
What about Halo 5?

I helped do a lot for that trailer. There are Easter eggs too, there's a halo 2 pilot helmet in one of the seats when the pilot is waking cheif

Maybe, I doubt they just totally threw H5 out altogether, but something about the focus on Cortana's empty chip made it feel like a plot point of finding her again like 5 rather than having to deal with her corrupted yandere self, but then the stream I was watching wouldn't shut the fuck up so I couldn't hear her in the last part.
