My friend has been getting this startup error ever since we tried to start playing again, it has no message as to what the error could actually be. He reinstalled steam, updated windows, reinstalled the anticheat, turned off his firewall to test it. I dont know what else to do.

Delete "steam64api.dll" in your rust folder.
steam/steamapps/common/rust
