Joe Biden, Primary Donald Trump As A Republican [Some More News]
2 replies, posted
So in the past few days, there's been a lot of conversation about Joe Biden and his "American centrist" stance in politics (where by "American centrist" I mean "try to meet in the middle between the Democrats and Republicans"). Particularly, I've seen a lot of comments about how conservative Biden's proposals have been and are, and how some people consider him more of a Republican than a Democrat.
Every time I've seen these comments, I've wanted to bring up this video, but decided against it because I didn't want to derail conversation.
So I finally decided to just make a dedicated thread to this video.

For those who aren't aware, Some More News is a left-leaning political YouTuber who, at least in recent months, has spent a lot of time and a lot of videos breaking down and refuting various Republican policies and actions. He makes long-form videos (20+ minutes is very typical), riddled with sarcasm and dry humor, where he brings up sizable swaths of evidence to refute the claims he is breaking down while supporting his own assertions. He is thorough in citing his sources, providing a link to an exhaustive Google Docs list of the sources used in his videos.
For example, here is the 4-page document of sources used for this video.
I suspect that a fair few people here will appreciate his tackling of both issues like Joe Biden, but also tackling topics like Candace Owens and PragerU, the sliding state of online streaming entertainment segmenting itself, or an entire 42-minute analysis of Tucker Carlson's history and the damage he perpetuates to the masses that watch him.
I don't really have much more to say, other than I'd love to hear peoples' thoughts on some of the evidence and opinions brought up in the video.
Personally, I think Cody hit the nail on the head when he said that Biden is very Republican--not a modern Republican, but a 1980s Republican. I also found the graph he brought up showing just how far the GOP has tilted right to be shocking, and the fact that the Democratic party has barely moved in either direction honestly surprising.
2008's Democratic VP hypothetically primarying the Republican President, as a "traditional" Republican, in 2020 is all you need to know about how far and how fast the Republican establishment pushed further right since Obama was first elected.
Been watching Cody since Cracked, absolutely agree it's good stuff. Also absolutely agree that Biden should fuck off and try to reform the Republicans, not further wreck the Democrats.
