• FPS Limited After New Update (6/6/2019 NEWEST UPDATE)

FPS is limited to 60, both in lobby and ingame, its only in rust, I tested all the other games, its happening only in Rust, and it started after the new update, I wrote fps.limit 0 and fps.limit -1 in console and it didnt help, I also set vsync in radeon settings to ALWAYS OFF both for global settings and Rust settings like usually and it still didnt help, I tried both windowed and fullscreen rust, both are limited to 60, I am not sure what is going on! :( Please help. Thank you.
What Hz monitor do you have?
Model: LG ULTRAWIDE 25UM58-P (2560X1080) 60hz
if you have a 60hz monitor than you can only see up to 60fps, so it won't affect you at all really
? Wut? Check if the game and/or the driver has re-enabled V-Sync. You can absolutely get more than 60 FPS doesn't matter what your monitors refresh rate is but it will result in a screen tearing. PS: Hertz = refreshes per second. How many images the GPU sends to the monitor. If the monitor can't keep up with that amount, then it loses syncing and it shows the upper and lower images of different frames at the same time. Thats why the screen tearing when V-Sync is off.
Yes that's exactly what I was saying, I'm not sure why you're disagreeing with me by rewording my post but ok I guess. You can play at higher than 60 fps, however it's quite pointless when using a 60hz monitor because a 60hz monitor will only display 60 frames in a second. I play HL1 often, and can easily get 600 fps thanks to it being such an old game, however when its locked to 165fps (My monitors cap Hz) it's no different, so I just leave it locked at 164fps to force G-Sync to stay active.
