This game has to be Valve's attempt at Kojima style game japes
This game isn't made by Valve
The team works in Valve's office and it's so HL esque something has to be up.
What? No they don't, they're in LA, Valve is in Washington.
Fine I retract my statements.
This is going to be the killer app for VR for sure. It looks amazing.
I actually fully believe this too. I'm certain boneworks started solo but for them to be so far developed on Knuckles, they absolutely have had many private chats with Valve. I'm dead sure they've been accuired just like Portal, CS, TF, and DoD. The engine itself makes me think of source so hard the moment we find out this is Source 2 I won't even be shocked. Allll this game needs is Half Life paint and it's literally the perfect HL title. It fits the bill of being truly innovative like 1 and 2, and Valve is well known to onboard Indies just to save themselves the trouble of development. The tool gun revolver last video is what sold me, I know in-game Dev tools arent unique here but it makes me think of Gmod too hard to shake. I know it's loose footing for a real theory but I've been on the same page as you since the first time we saw gameplay
A whole ton of developers have had access to knuckles for a long long time. They're just another VR developer. And I'm pretty sure it runs on Unity.
Oh fuck yeah dude watching this gameplay now, we have confirmed headcrabs AND zombies now. Fucking brilliant
This is extra brutal. I love it.
i cannot wait for this to come out. unrelated anyone wanna buy my Vive Pro and accessories so we can buy an Index instead?
I will never get tired of seeing people having a great time in VR. It just comes to show that there really is no other experience like being able to fully immerse yourself within a VR game and do things that you could never achieve in reality. Ala being able to literally catch bullets out of mid air like in Robo Recall or being able to chill out virtually with people from every part of the globe in VRChat.
Thankfully for people who dont have a 1000$ Index, this can still be played with normal VR headsets. Prob less fun but I really cant be assed to sell my VR headset and save up the dough
this is absurdly cool
I can't tell if you're trolling or delusional tbh
seeing stuff like this just makes me ever so slightly more upset that i can't get the Index in australia at all like i love my Rift, but man. both the Index controllers and the headset look incredible. hopefully it won't take a year for them to figure out distribution for Australia like what happened with the Steam Controller
I've been kinda eyeing an Oculus Rift S recently, but honestly, Index with the knuckles is the real deal. I really hope that the prices will lower as the technology progresses.
Yeah, after seeing the finger and joint tracking, as well as foot tracking so you don't have to teleport or use a stick to move, this is a new standard for me and I don't even have a vr set. This is as immersive as it gets. (For now.)
What foot tracking? The Index doesn't have any foot tracking.
GARRY'S MOD 2 BAYBEEEE
i think he means positional tracking via lighthouse
For some reason a lot of this video seems like he's trying to fake stuff, like the fact there's weight to the stuff they're picking up.. It's a little odd
It looks like it's using a 'simulated weight' system like Blade & Sorcery does.
When they say “weight to it” what they mean is that your in-game hands can only move so fast with the weight of the object, and if you swing your knuckles super fast then your in-game hands will lag behind. It sounds wonky but it’s actually pretty intuitive after a few moments of weirdness. Boneworks isn’t the only game that does it.
