BFV's panel was pretty meh since it was basically a recap of the last month or so's announcement with the Pacific being confirmed to get 3 maps before 2020.

Season looks pretty damn good so far and being this close to giving out a new map every month is pretty darn bonkers.
This game should have launched at the end of THIS year, not last.
Rising Storm will always be the best Pacific WWII game out there. It'll be interesting to see what kind of frankenguns BFV tosses to the Japanese though.
It'd be a real treat to see this literal bootleg Garand in 2019 HD action

That's what the Jap team got in BF1942 so yes. I fully expect the Type 94 Nabur pistol to explode as a secondary function injuring both the wielder and anyone next to them. Type 38 Arisaka rifles with foot long bayonets for banzai charges too.
That little 10 second teaser at the beginning of the video is the most excited I've been for anything related to Battlefield V. Just give people what they want already!
Never gonna happen. And if it does it will be bastardized to hell
The most annoying part of all the huge missteps they've made with BFV is that they already did the "remake BF1942 in spirit" already with Battlefield 1943. It was a small scale budget title, but it played really well and it was exactly what I would want from a Battlefield 1942 but made today. Unfortunately you just can't make a game that simple anymore and it needs to be covered in progression, customization, skins, and so on. All I want is a vanilla ass, no gimmick Battlefield game. I know Pacific theater BFV won't be that, but I can dream.
they added destroyers/dreadnoughts in BF1, they might return in V.
I've played all major Battlefield releases since BF1942 and yet BFV is the first one that had me lose all motivation to play since at least the Firestorm update. I even really enjoyed BF1 for what it was. Even if the gameplay in BFV is actually stellar (and it really is don't get me wrong) everything else surrounding it just saps all my enjoyment whenever I booted it up.
Honestly I've not bought a BF game since BF4. I enjoyed the BF1 beta enough but the game itself still seemed oversaturated with progression, weapon customisation, skins etc and this was doubly so with BFV. Not to mention I'm sick of the games prioritising or otherwise giving players more incentive to get kills than achieve objectives. II'd be more than happy if we got a 2142 sequel (which still stands as my favourite BF title today) and hopefully we will around 2020ish seeing as BF4 not-so-subtly hinted with the Hangar 21 map DLC with hover tanks, railguns etc.
At least with 2143 the progression, skins, weapon customisation etc would make a lot more sense - and I'd be happy to see the titan gamemode make a return. There was nothing quite as exhilarating as landing your team aboard the enemy titan via the carrier or the APC pods, fighting your way through to the consoles to destroy them, destroying the core then making a run for it as the titan began to fail around you. We all know EA/Dice like to present best face with pre-rehearsed "gameplay" demos and this would be a gold mine for them to do so. The Frostbite engine would be able to present it in all ita true glory and like Why485 said with the BF1942 carriers you wouldn't have to worry about the weird jank/lag. Could even bring commanders back in without sacrificing anything - present it in a demo of someone running around with a command PDA/laptop ordering air strikes in real time.
