I hope not. I played through LEGO Marvel Superheroes recently and the voice acting just turned it into a slog. I'll always prefer the silent LEGO games.

Sounds cool but I'm skeptical. The newer Lego games don't have the same charm the OG Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman ones do. Feels like lots of filler content between actual levels, and not necessarily new new interesting puzzles, just additional flavors of gatekeeping by character.

I thought the voice acting in Lego Marvel Superheroes was fine. It's the games that only use dialogue from the movies that have really sucked. Just doesn't feel right. I hope they confirm soon that the they are indeed going back to the pantomime from the earlier games.

I prefer the silent ones I feel like they have a sort of charm to them, also seems more comedic when they're not just recreating the scenes perfectly for the voice acting and instead sort of funny miming.

I really hope they go back to the catina hub instead of the open world

the open world was a neat addition at first but after they started putting it in almost every game i stopped playing them

it's just tons of boring filler and walking between missions

I wonder if the LEGO tie-in games suffer from bloated budgets that they have to put into massive game worlds. That or the devs have gotten too comfy with the current system and programming simple quest-filled open-worlds or reusing features. I was real hype for LEGO Movie 2's game until I saw most of its events just relied on a lot of LEGO World's mechanics and building systems for the main story plot.
