The lack of MCU actors' likenesses is REALLY jarring and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a turn-off for people.
Why didn't they just use their likeness? All of the characters just kinda look like parodies
My only guess is that maybe the actors demanded too much money for it.
Getting one actor's likeness costs a lot of money. Here, you're talking about like 10 well known popular actors. That shit would probably cost them way more than the game itself.
Thing is they've stated Crystal Dynamics is developing this. No mention of Eidos Montreal whatsoever as of yet and even then it'd be in support capacity.
They'd be bombastically stupid to waste the talent in that studio on just support.
Eidos Montreal got mentioned in the e3 presentation and their logo was shown on various promotional materials
Why is there an expectation that they would? I don't remember any complaints about Tom Holland not being in the Spiderman game.
its been known Eidos would work on this for years, no doubt a chunk of the studio works on avengers just like they helped on Shadow of the tomb raider.
I am hopeful that theyre working on other stuff at the same time though.
I bet they are, as it seems like this game is close to beta so my guess they got something else planned right after.
Still I'm stoked, though why they waited until after Endgame is beyond me. Looks like they're pulling the "Cap is worthy for Thor's Hammer" again.
I think they namedropped him a few times but yeah, the fact that THAT'S Taskmaster is bizarre.
