Add them to the list of people who'll be in prison or lined up first against the wall before this is all over, because Trump seems determined to push and push until "the resistance" stops being a Twitter hashtag and starts manifesting as insurgency. They could stop this at any time but they're determined to stumble blindly into fascism, and if they don't stop, I fear they will make revolution inescapable.

I'm just what. how does that make any sense any at all.
Can we take a step back into 2010 mindset and look at this from that persepective. We royally fucked up with this president.
Checks and Balances? Hello?
that's not how this works that's not how any of this works
From an extremely strong interpretation of the Strong Unitary Executive theory. "[Those who believe in the Strong version of Unitary Executive theory] argue, for example, that Congress's power to interfere with intra-executive decision-making (such as firing executive branch officials) is limited, and that the President can control policy-making by all executive agencies within the limits set for those agencies by Congress." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unitary_executive_theory
Moreover, if the intent of the framers of the constitution was that the president should have absolute power and not be held in check by the other branches of government, why even have a congress or a judiciary? If the congress and the supreme court are just supposed to rubber stamp everything the president does while he/she runs everything, there's no point in them even existing. You might as well just have a presidential election and nothing else where you just elect a dictator for the next 4 years and that person singlehandedly runs the country with their staff.
