Came here for GMOD half-my-life-ago, left having learned about how things function in other prominent countries (via sensationalist headline threads and other big threads mostly). All without having left the US borders (yet). Met very interesting people here, seen some hilarious threads over the years, and basically used Facepunch as my source of news and other shit worthy of staying informed on.
I did become a niche poster, primarily posting in automotive addicts, witness the fitness threads, specific gaming threads (MGS), and some news threads. But that was still more than enough most days, so many posts to read through!

While I'm still here, I hope the Knockout version keeps the spirit alive. I will say though, I feel like even after all these years, I'm still unsure how to describe the Facepunch community as something other than originally being a forum for Garry's Mod users. It grew in to something more general, and I still don't know how to accurately describe what it is. What it was. All I know is why most of us stayed here.
See you peeps on the other side.
