I'm always using cable and the issue was persistent on servers that said 80 ping, which is not unreasonably huge :( I talked to EAC tech support though, if they solve my problem I will make a detailed post to help others
Alright guys, fixed it. I reinstalled windows, did the open as admin, uninstall then reinstall EAC for rust and it works fine. I lost my office software, Adobe software and. Google chrome bookmarks, as well as some other anyway unwanted games, so be very careful about your back up. I will make a more detailed guide on how to do this when I get home in about 5 h and post it here and on Reddit, it will have full instructions on how to do this and the full list of programs I lost. Hope I helped out someone.
